About Central European Technology Forum (CETEF'24)

CETEF is a key international undertaking organized since 2014 by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technologies (IZTECH) and the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations under the patronage of the European Parliament and under the auspices of the European Commission, in cooperation with universities, research institutes and the high-tech industry.

The aim of the Forum is to create an international platform for discussion on European policy in the development of technical fields that are decisive for the success of the digital and energy transformation, as well as inspiring international partner networks to implement large European high-tech projects and presenting technological and research potential of Poland and the region in the implementation of European Union development projects.

4th Central European Technology Forum – CETEF’24 will be held in Krakow on November 18-19, 2024 in cooperation with the AGH University of Science and Technology, Jagiellonian University and the President of the City of Krakow. We anticipate the personal participation of EU Commissioner for innovation, research, culture, education and youth and the Chairman of the Industry, Research and Energy Committee of the European Parliament, as well as representatives of government institutions and outstanding representatives of science and industry from 16 Central European countries. The Forum is expected to present new ideas and proposals aimed at implementing the European science and technology agenda for 2025-2030.

We anticipate over 1000 representatives of technology providers, down-stream industry users, scientific organizations, engineering associations, governmental and financial institutions, including personal participation of the Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation and the Chairman of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy of the European Parliament.

The first day of the Forum opens with a Plenary Conference devoted to the discussion of European and national programs in the field of supporting the development of technologies and the role of Central European countries in the digital and energy transformation. It consists of: program speeches by representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament and ministries responsible for the digital and energy transformation in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and two high-level debates devoted to the discussion of European policy and the role of Central European countries in implementing the European energy policy through research and innovation and the EU Framework Program Horizon Europe and its successor.

In parallel to the Plenary Conference, after lunch, we will start the 2nd Edition of the Young Scientist Day, after which we invite you, for the first time in this year’s edition of the Forum, to four parallel Study Visits to world-class research centers: the National Synchrotron Radiation Center “Solaris” of the Jagiellonian University, the Academic Computer Center Cyfronet AGH, the Center for European Union Computational Personalized Medicine – SANO and the Ryvu Therapeutics Research and Development Center for Innovative Medicine.

The second day of the Forum begins with parallel Thematic Conferences. In this year’s edition, we invite you to seven technological conferences, the topics of which range from innovative technologies of energy transformation, through innovations in automation, robotics and artificial intelligence, space and satellite technologies, innovations in biotechnologies, to materials engineering in the non-ferrous metals industry, agri-food technologies and social innovations in technologies.

The Forum will culminate, for the first time in the history of CETEF, with a networking event, Horizon Europe Matchmaking Event, organized by the Network of Industry Contact Points for the Horizon Europe program.

The two-day CETEF’24 Forum will be accompanied by the exhibition of technological solutions and poster presentations in the lobby and conference rooms of the Forum.

We are looking forward to our cooperation!
