A very important event is behind us – the Technology Policy Forum, which took place on February 19 this year at the Warsaw Technology House NOT. The organizers were: the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technologies, the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations NOT, the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities and the Council of Directors of Scientific Units of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The meeting was led by prof. Jerzy Buzek, chairman of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technologies.
The aim of the meeting was to present to the Ministers participating in the Forum: Dariusz Wieczorek, Minister of Science and Higher Education, and Krzysztof Hetman, Minister of Development and Technology, the most important problems and recommendations regarding Poland’s technological development, constituting the basis for the preparation of Polish technology policy.
The meeting was attended by rectors and deans of technical universities, presidents and directors of high-technology companies, scientific and research institutes, scientific and technical associations and state institutions. The president of FSNT-NOT, Ewa Mankiewicz-Cudny, opened and introduced the meeting.
The problem discussion was preceded by a speech by prof. Ryszard Pregiel, Honorary President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technologies entitled: “Challenges of Polish technology policy.” During the meeting, Dr. Zygmunt Krasiński, president of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technologies, presented the goals and state of preparations for the Central European Technology Forum – CETEF’24, which will be held in Krakow on May 20-21 this year. . and invited the Ministers and meeting participants to participate in this important international event.
