Poznań University of Technology is one of the largest and most recognizable technical universities in Poland, with over 100 years of tradition in educating engineers and conducting scientific research. Its history dates back to 1919, and today the university has over 15,000 students enrolled in 9 faculties covering key areas of modern engineering, technology, and science. The academic staff consists of several thousand employees, including hundreds of experienced scientists and experts carrying out research projects in cooperation with industry and foreign partners. Poznań University of Technology has modern laboratory and research infrastructure, carries out dozens of international projects, and actively participates in mobility programs such as Erasmus+. Thanks to this, the university effectively combines a solid academic foundation with practical preparation of graduates for work in the dynamically changing world of technology and innovation.
The Aerospace Technologies thematic session will be dedicated to the key challenges and development directions of the aerospace and aviation sectors, which are playing an increasingly important role in strengthening Europe’s technological sovereignty, security, and competitiveness. The session will bring together representatives from academia, industry, and public institutions, creating a platform for discussion on innovation, technological autonomy, knowledge transfer, and the future of cross-sector collaboration.
The session program includes two panel discussions.
Panel 1: Eyes on the Sky, Business on the Ground: Turning Space Capability into Economic Power will focus on how capabilities developed within the space sector—from Earth observation and data analytics to technology transfer and startup support—can be transformed into tangible economic value and strengthen Europe’s position in the global technology race.
Panel 2: Human, Machine, Sky: Who Will Shape the Next Era of Aviation? will explore the future of aviation, autonomous systems, new education and training models, and the evolving roles of humans and intelligent machines in shaping the next era of air mobility.
