Industrial Development Agency JSC (Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A.) is a joint stock company with a 100% share of the State Treasury (Skarb Państwa). It played a key role in the free market transformation of the Polish economy. In the coming years, it aims to become one of the leaders in the energy transition. Strategy focuses on investments in offshore wind energy, hydrogen industry and space technologies.
IDA JSC has assets in numerous companies operating in the following areas: shipbuilding, railway, metal, mining, foundry, packaging, textile, tourism, and machines modernization and construction. IDA JSC manages two Special Economic Zones in southeastern Poland (Mielec and Tarnobrzeg) and an industrial park in Kobierzyce. It is also the majority shareholder in the Special Economic Zones in Starachowice and Legnica.
With the participation of IDA JSC, a factory for offshore wind towers is being built in Gdańsk. The investment is being carried out by Baltic Towers, a company established as a result of cooperation between IDA JSC and the Spanish company GRI Renewable Industries, S.L. It is the largest and most modern factory of this type in Europe. It will produce 150 towers per year. The value of the investment is 200 million EUR.
