4th Central European Technology Forum (CETEF'24)

will be held on May 20-21, 2024

in Krakow, Poland

CETEF is a key international undertaking organized since 2014 by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technologies (IZTECH) and the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations under the patronage of the European Parliament and under the auspices of the European Commission, in cooperation with universities, research institutes and the high-tech industry.

The aim of the Forum is to create an international platform for discussion on European policy in the development of technical fields that are decisive for the success of the digital and energy transformation, as well as inspiring international partner networks to implement large European high-tech projects and presenting technological and research potential of Poland and the region in the implementation of European Union development projects.

Next year’s 4th Central European Technology Forum – CETEF’24 will be held in Krakow on May 20-21, 2024 in cooperation with the AGH University of Science and Technology, Jagiellonian University and the President of the City of Krakow. We anticipate the personal participation of Mrs. Iliana Ivanova – the new EU Commissioner for innovation, research, culture, education and youth and the Chairman of the Industry, Research and Energy Committee of the European Parliament, as well as representatives of government institutions and outstanding representatives of science and industry from 16 Central European countries. The Forum is expected to present new ideas and proposals aimed at implementing the European science and technology agenda for 2025-2030.

DIGITAL AND ENERGY TRANSFORMATION ROUND TABLE
TWO DAYS OF INTERACTIVE EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCES

1st Forum Day:

Key note speeches and plenary sessions (representatives of the organizers, ministries, European Commission, European Parliament, agencies, networks of universities and European partnerships, Forum Partners).

Gala dinner for VIPs and foreign guests hosted by the Mayor of Krakow.

2nd Forum Day:

Thematic conferences – organized by Forum Partners, including:

  • Advanced manufacturing systems for industry
  • Energy transition
  • High technologies for security
  • Space and satellite technologies
  • Green and Innovative Technology and Industry  
  • New Horizons in Medical Technologies  
  • Circular Production Processes in the non-ferrous metals industry
  • Social Innovations in Technologies
  • European University Alliances for the development of high technologies
  • EU patent policy in the context of new opportunities and challenges for the high-tech sector.

The conferences will be organized in cooperation with Industry Contact Points for the Horizon Europe program (Low-Emission Technologies and Clean Energy, Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0, Sustainable Economy), European partnerships and clusters. The final names of the thematic conferences will be confirmed after consultation with the Partners responsible for organizing individual conferences.

  • 2nd Edition of the Young Scientist Day (1st Day of the Forum), organized by the Foundation for Supporting Cooperation of the Scientific Environment with the Socio-Economic Environment WORK&SCIENCE, the National Representation of Doctoral Students and EURODOC
  • Exhibition of technological solutions + poster session (Day 1 and 2 of the Forum)
  • Study visits (National Synchrotron Radiation Center “Solaris” of the Jagiellonian University, Academic Computer Center Cyfronet AGH, Center for European Union Computational Personalized Medicine – SANO)
